Black Cobalt Free Passivate for Zinc-Nickel (12-15%)
FINIDIP 728.3 is a black, cobalt-free trivalent chromium passivate for zinc-nickel deposits (12-15% Ni). It produces a deep black surface after passivation and a very glossy aspect after an additional post-treatment with a FINIGARD or POSTDIP product.
The corrosion resistance of the black surfaces produced by FINIDIP 728.3 and an additional Top-Coat system is remarkably high and complies with the requirements of the automotive industry.
The process is suitable for rack and barrel applications. In case of barrel applications it is recommended to add a top-coat in a dip-spin centrifuge.
