Job Title: Material Resource Planner

Summary: Maintains inventory of both raw and finished products by means of the Chempax MRP database by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Processes daily updates of MRP to show accurate demand for needed products.
  • Initiates purchase orders.
  • Closes batch tickets.
  • Maintains MRP system with respect to proper allocation of resources.
  • Communicates with sales force and Purchasing Department to prepare for extraordinary demand.
  • Gathers, inputs, and presents information for KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Assists in data collection for any ongoing projects that are related to operations.
  • Assists with data entry on needed projects related to operations.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft PowerPoint; Chempax; development software and Lotus Notes.

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:

One year on the job training working with Datacor developing the Resource Planning module to fit COVENTYA’s needs.
